Hybrid inverters

Hybrid inverters for residential, commercial and project-scale systems — single-phase from 3 kW to 15 kW across two series, and three-phase from 4 kW to 12 kW, supplied alongside the modules and BESS they work with.

The hybrid inverter range

Single phase
and three phase.

Three series — two single phase and one three phase — and every one of them a hybrid inverter: PV in, battery in, grid in and out, with grid bypass and off-grid supply. The single-phase range splits into two series by power, and the three-phase series covers the service most commercial sites already have.

Which series for which service

  • 01

Single-phase residential, up to 6 kW

The ELS3-6K series. 120 A of battery current is what lets a 51.2 V pack move energy at a useful rate, and the 1.5× overload for 60 seconds covers motor starts without a soft start on the load side.

  • 02

    Single-phase with a larger array

The ELS7.5-15K series. Four MPPTs at 20 A per string is the figure that decides how the roof divides, and 22.5 kW of PV input carries 150% oversizing on a 15 kW machine.

  • 03

    Three-phase commercial and light industrial

The EPH series, 4 to 12 kW. Transformerless, IP65 and 26 kg, so it mounts on a wall rather than needing a plant room.

System specification

Specification notes
for the people who size it.

The figures below are the ones that decide an inverter order — the phase your service supplies, how the array divides across MPPTs, what the battery can actually move, and the listing your interconnection requires. They are not an introduction to what a hybrid inverter is.

  • 01

The service decides the phase before the load does

Single phase covers 3 to 15 kW across two series; three phase covers 4 to 12 kW. On most residential services the choice is made by what the utility supplies, and on commercial sites by whether the load is balanced anyway. Settle that first, then size within the series.

  • 02

MPPT count and string current shape the array

Four MPPTs at 20 A per string on the 7.5–15 kW series against a smaller count on the 3–6 kW series is the difference between four roof orientations performing independently and four orientations averaged into one. Check the per-string current against the modules before assuming the string layout carries over.

  • 03

Battery current is the real limit, not battery capacity

A 51.2 V pack moves a lot of current for its capacity. The 3–6 kW series is rated at 120 A continuous charge and discharge, and that ceiling — not the kWh in the pack — decides how fast the array can charge it and how much load it carries in a backup event.

  • 04

PV oversizing is allowed, and worth using

The range is rated for up to 150% PV oversizing. On a west- facing roof that is the cheapest capacity in the system; on a perfectly south-facing array it buys less than the paperwork suggests.

  • 05

Compliance is part of the specification

The three-phase series carries CQC, VDE-AR-N4105, IEC 61727, IEC 62116, EN 50549, IEC 62109 and IEC 62477, with a five-year standard warranty and seven or ten years optional. Match the listing to the interconnection standard your utility applies before the design is fixed.

Inverters for the people
designing the system.

Installers

Hybrid inverters matched to the modules and the battery on the same order, with the documentation your AHJ expects.

Distributors

Single-phase and three-phase series from one supplier, so one order covers a residential job and a commercial one.

EPCs and developers

Project-scale inverter supply, coordinated against the delivery schedule and with the listing your interconnect requires.

Something not covered? Ask our team ↗

What separates the two single-phase series?+

Power and array handling. The ELS3-6K series covers 3 to 6 kW with 120 A of battery current; the ELS7.5-15K series covers 7.5 to 15 kW with four MPPTs at 20 A per string and up to 22,500 W of PV input. Both are single-phase hybrids with grid bypass and off-grid supply.

Do you supply three-phase hybrid inverters?+

Yes. The EPH series runs from 4 to 12 kW across EPH4KTL, EPH5KTL, EPH6KTL, EPH8KTL, EPH10KTL and EPH12KTL, in a transformerless IP65 enclosure at 26 kg.

What certifications do the inverters carry?+

The three-phase series is listed to CQC, VDE-AR-N4105, IEC 61727, IEC 62116, EN 50549, IEC 62109 and IEC 62477. Certificates for the standard your interconnection applies can be supplied with a quote — ask for the listing you need.

Can you supply inverters with the modules and the BESS?+

Yes. Modules, BESS and inverters can be supplied as one order, with the string figures and battery voltage matched across all three before anything ships.

Do you handle project-scale inverter supply?+

UniGlory Energy is based in Phelan, California, and serves the U.S. market with nationwide delivery. Commercial and utility-scale orders are scheduled against the programme rather than shipped off the shelf.
